Terms of Service

§1 Who We Are

AnthroList is operated by Todwright Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales, company number 17362759, registered office Unit 82A, James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, IP28 7DE. By registering or using AnthroList you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. §2 Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to create an account. AnthroList does not host pornography (§7), but an account-holding, comment-posting, profile-carrying service falls under the UK Children's Code regardless of what content it hosts, and this is a small operator with no ability to run a separate, properly safeguarded under-18 product alongside it. Browsing the catalog without an account has no age gate beyond the age-band labels described in §3. Registering is your promise that you are 18 or older; misrepresenting your age is a material breach and ends your account under §11.

§3 The Service

AnthroList is a catalog and rating site for anthro/furry media: films, TV, games, comics, webcomics, and books. We catalog works and link out to where they actually live (a publisher's site, a storefront, a video platform); we do not host the works themselves. Every catalog entry carries one of our own age-band labels (All Ages / 13+ / Adults Only) -- our own house labels, not a reproduction of any third-party classification board's system.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features, the catalog, and stored account data may be added, changed, or removed at any time; we accept no liability for data loss, downtime, or bugs, without prejudice to any right the law does not let us exclude (§12).

Illegal content and reports. We do not promise to proactively scan every submission or comment before it is visible. When a valid report (§8) identifies unlawful content, or we credibly learn of it another way, we act as promptly as our operational resources allow to remove or restrict it. No fixed response time applies, though the most serious categories (illegal images of children, other criminal material) are escalated as a priority when identified.

§4 Your Account

  • Register accurately and keep your password secret. Nobody official will ever ask you for it.
  • One human per account. No sharing, selling, or transferring accounts. Re-registering after a permanent ban is a material breach.
  • Avatars and banner images are subject to §7 like everything else you upload.
  • Right to leave: you may delete your account at any time via account settings (see Privacy Policy §6 for what deletion actually does).
  • You answer for activity through your session. Report a suspected compromise promptly; we owe no duty to recover accounts or reverse consequences of unsecured credentials.

§5 Catalog Submissions

Any account holder may submit a new catalog entry (title, media type, release year, creator credits, a synopsis, and links to where the work lives). Submissions enter a moderation queue and are not public until approved. No AI-generated art or descriptions -- link to where the real thing lives instead. Submit accurate information; a submission you know to be false, or that infringes someone else's rights, is a material breach. We may edit, decline, or remove any catalog entry at our sole discretion, including one already published, without owing you an explanation.

§6 Reviews, Ratings, Comments & Your Content

Your work stays yours. By posting a review, rating, comment, or profile image, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, format-shift (thumbnail, re-encode), display, and moderate it for as long as your account or the content exists. You warrant you have the right to post what you post, and that it is lawful in the UK.

Reviews and comments must be genuine and on-topic. Content must not be defamatory, harassing, or unlawfully invasive of anyone's privacy, and must not infringe anyone's rights. You are the publisher of what you post; we host it and did not say it, and we disclaim liability for user content to the fullest extent the law permits.

⚠ §7 Prohibited Content

AnthroList does not host pornography, anywhere, on any surface -- avatars, banners, reviews, comments, and catalog submission text alike. Romantic intimacy (hugging, kissing, tasteful romantic description) and standard underwear or swimwear are fine: think a character on a beach in swimwear, not a sex scene. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit content or imagery of any kind, in any form.
  • Cub / underage-presenting sexual content. This is absolute zero tolerance, no exceptions, and criminal under UK law even where drawn or non-photographic (Coroners and Justice Act 2009, section 62: possession of prohibited images of children).
  • Real or apparent child sexual abuse material. Discovered material is handled per our internal safeguarding procedure and reported to the Internet Watch Foundation, CEOP, or the police as appropriate; it is never further distributed, downloaded, or shared by us in the process of reporting it.
  • Bestiality in any form.

Catalog entries may reference that an external work is itself adult-rated at its own source (an 18-rated game, for instance) without that work's explicit content ever being hosted or displayed here -- we catalog its existence, we do not host it. Moderation decides where a specific piece of content falls, and that decision is final, subject only to the single appeal in §8.

§8 Moderation, Reporting & Appeals

Every catalog entry and every review or comment carries a Report link. Reports are reviewed by human moderators through our ticket desk; automated tooling assists triage only, and only a human imposes a sanction. A report should include why you are reporting the content -- vague or bad-faith reports may be closed without action.

We may remove, hide, or edit any content, and restrict, suspend, or terminate any account, at our sole discretion, at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. One appeal per moderation decision, through the same support channel; appeals do not suspend the original decision and their outcome is final.

§9 Monetization & Affiliate Links

Some outbound links to where a catalog work can be bought or watched may be affiliate links (for example, an Amazon Associates link): if you buy something after following one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Where an affiliate programme is active, we disclose it here and, where applicable, alongside the relevant links; a feature described here as an affiliate programme is only actually live once we have a real, approved account with that programme -- this Terms of Service describes the arrangement, it does not itself activate it. A separate support/donation link, where offered, works the same way: entirely optional, never required to use the site.

⚠ §10 Prohibited Conduct

In addition to §7, the following are prohibited: harassment, doxxing, or threats; impersonating another user or staff; scraping, botting, or unauthorised automation; exploiting bugs or unauthorised access (itself a UK criminal offence); ban evasion, including via alternate accounts; and using AnthroList to imply an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist.

⚠ §11 Suspension & Termination

You may leave at any time (§4). We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice; continued use after termination or during a suspension is itself a breach. On termination the content licence in §6 continues where needed for legal compliance and moderation records; on a verified account-deletion request, see Privacy Policy §6.

⚠ §12 Disclaimers & Liability

To the maximum extent the law permits, we exclude all warranties beyond those the law does not let us exclude, and our liability to you for anything arising from these Terms or your use of AnthroList is limited to £50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us exclude. Nothing here diminishes your statutory rights as a consumer.

§13 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. A substantive change requires fresh acceptance before you can keep using an account; continued use after a non-substantive update is acceptance of it. If you disagree with a change, the remedy is to stop using AnthroList and delete your account.

§14 General

  • Governing law: England & Wales; mandatory consumer protections where you live are preserved.
  • Severability: an unenforceable provision is severed or read down; the rest of these Terms stands.
  • No waiver: not enforcing a provision on one occasion waives nothing.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us on this subject and supersede any prior understanding.
  • Assignment: we may assign these Terms to a successor operator; your account is personal and non-transferable.
  • Language: the English text prevails over any translation.
