The first fully 3D Sonic game, released for the Sega Dreamcast in Japan in December 1998 and worldwide in 1999. It follows Sonic and a cast of anthropomorphic animal friends (Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Big the Cat, E-102) battling Dr. Robotnik and the water god Chaos.
